28A - Exit Strategy

I believe that my product has the ability to help young people, and after last week’s new market assignment I believe that there is potential staying power in breaking into other markets. Potentially helping people make better decisions is always a plus, even though it isn’t necessarily a get rich scheme. I was fairly surprised that so many of my interviewees this semester said that they see the value in my product but would not be willing to spend money on it.

In light of that research I decided that I would sell my firm at the first sign of making a profit and get out of there. With so many other ‘self-help’ or similar things out there, there doesn’t seem to be a good path for exit and I think if I can make a profit and roll it into another potential venture it would be better served. I do believe that there would be a lot of young people that sign up for my service, but I don’t see it having the type of recurring business to be extremely successful.
